The Ex-M RAC Economical Split Unit Air Conditioners are the most economical solution for providing explosion-proof climate control in spaces that do not require 24/7 cooling or heating duty. Designed for use in hazardous areas classified as ATEX Zone 2 (3G) or 22 (3D), these air conditioners are ideal for (offshore) office containers, operator shelters, or crane cabins located in such environments.
Based on the Mitsubishi Electric RAC series, these units are converted and certified to explosion-proof standards by Ex-Machinery Explosion Proof Equipment B.V. The air conditioners are designed to operate in the European climate, with an operation range from +46°C down to -10°C or -25°C ambient temperature. After hours, the AC unit defrosts and is ready for optimal cooling and heating again for 12 to 15 hours at a time.
